CAN assures Bayelsa of more divine windfall if…

Chairman of South South zone of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Archbishop Goddowell Avwoma-kpa has reminded Bayelsa State people that if the United States—the police of the world and renowned world power—could say “In God We Trust” and their leaders make deliberate efforts to put God first in all they do, there is no reason why developing nations/states should not embrace God and put their trust in Him.
In a message at a two-day crusade of the CAN, South South zone at the Bayelsa State capital with a theme; “Thy Kingdom Come,” the CAN chairman averred that every country that puts her trust in God will continue to stand out.
He therefore urged those in leadership positions to wait on the Lord so that they will be able to renew their strength and do exploits.
The cleric told the crowd made up of men, women and state government officials that everyone’s work will eventually be tested by fire, and therefore urged people to do the will of God so that at the end of man’s journey on earth, he or she will find a place in the bosom of the creator.
According to Avwomakpa; “There is need for everyone created by God to live a life expected of true believers of God in addition to engaging in prayers and thanks-giving.

Furthermore, the cleric urged the people of Bayelsa to massively turn to God so that they can inherit the kingdom of God.
He noted that the choice of former President Goodluck Jonathan was divine just like the election of Gov. Seriake Dickson as governor of Bayelsa for a second tenure despite the attempt to stop him, describing the Bayelsa indigenes as Godly vessels that will take the state to greater heights.
In his word; “This is time to consolidate on what God has started in Bayelsa State, so that God will do greater things in the midst of the people in time to come.
While praying for peace  and economic progress of the state and her indegenes as well as those who have business interests in the state, Archbishop Avwomakpa stated that if the leadership and the people of the state put God first, the economy of the state and the entire South South region will blossom more than the era of the oil boom of the 70s such that a new roadmap of transformation will take over the entire state and spread across the entire region.
He described the Niger Delta Development Bank as an answer to prayers made in times past, urging the youths and mothers in the state to shun vices and put their trust in God for better days ahed.
The next phase of the all-round crusade for all the South South region will hold in Rivers State next month.
